FBS
FAQ

What are we looking for in new members?

A family business is one that is owned and/or operated by two or more members of a family. At FBS, we foster a community of such members who come from businesses of all scales, sizes, industries, and countries - ranging from sibling-owned bakeries to multinational corporations.

What is the application process?

New member recruitment is open in the Fall and Spring semesters at USC. Potential New Members (PNMs) have the opportunity to engage with us in the involvement fair and info sessions preceding their application. If PNMs pass the written application stage, they are called back for an invite-only mixer and interview. The factors evaluated in both stages of the application extend further than the individual's family business, as we seek to recruit amiable, talented, and intelligent personalities. The best way to stay updated with recruitment is through our Instagram.

Is FBS a USC Marshall recognized organization?

FBS is a USC Recognized Student Organization (RSO), open to members of all majors and USC institutes. Therefore, to foster diversity of professional fields and backgrounds, we choose not to classify as a Marshall recognized organization.
